8. Samsung Chromebook 4 11.6″ (was $199, now $129)
The Samsung Chromebook 4 is already priced just right at just a dollar under $200, but the fact that it has just gone on sale for even lesser is nothing to sleep on. Walmart is letting you grab this device for merely $129 right now, with about $70 slashed off its MSRP. The configuration up for grabs sports an Intel Celeron N4020 processor with 4 GBs of RAM and 32 GB external storage. Its HD (1366 x 768) screen is also sufficient for light movie streaming and playing Play Store games on the fly.
It obviously isn’t loaded with top-of-the-line specifications, but the value you’re getting here is nonetheless commendable. It’s got an admirable duo of keyboard and trackpad that feel comfortable and nice to type on and glide your fingers, respectively. The click mechanism of the keyboard, in particular, works well and can accommodate typists quite profoundly. It’s also relatively lightweight at 2.6 pounds, so if you’re deciding to pick this device up for travel, you’ve got one of the best contenders for that area.
As for the battery life, the Samsung Chromebook 4 will last you for somewhere around 11-12 hours, which is near to the best-in-class figures for Chrome OS. You’re going to love the Chrome OS package that this device offers at such a low price on this fantastic occasion.
9. Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 (was $549, now $399)
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 is a gorgeous device with an even stellar 13.3″ QLED touch-enabled display. It’s a flat-out premium Chromebook with the remarkable build quality and a fluid Chrome OS experience that involves zero frills and complications. It’s fast, lightweight, and gets the job done eloquently. Best Buy has currently taken a handsome $150 off of the device’s default price, letting you nab it for $399. The Fiesta Red color scheme is the one people typically shoot for on this Chromebook, and it’s easy to see why.
The configuration up for sale currently involves an Intel Celeron 5205U processor with 4 GBs of RAM and 64 GB eMMC flash storage. In addition, this successor of the OG Galaxy Chromebook has seen a massive improvement in the battery runtime area, where the latter would peak at about 7-8 hours while this one tops 12 hours without breaking a sweat. Combine performance, beauty, and long battery life, and you have at your disposal the magnificent Galaxy Chromebook 2.
The only noticeable knock that we complain about on the device is the absence of a USB-A port, so you’ll have to carry a USB-C hub with it. On the flip side, if all of your peripherals are USB-C, you have nothing to worry about. Read more about this Chromebook in our dedicated review article and see how it has survived under the guillotine.
10. Lenovo Flex 3 Chromebook (was $379, now $149)
The Lenovo Flex 3 Chromebook is another commendable Black Friday deal that you can grab right now. It’s Best Buy again with the massive lay-off, letting aspiring shoppers grab the device for $149 instead of its usual price of $379. So you’re saving more than $200 if you decide to purchase this device at the time of writing. It’s a 2-in-1 convertible Chromebook with a touch-enabled display for fantastic variety in viewing modes. The design is also catchy, and the build quality is undeniably excellent.
It is a relatively smaller Chromebook with a screen size slated for 11.6-inches. The display resolution is also HD (1366 x 768), which is standard for most devices this size. However, the brightness maxes out at 250 nits, and this is a reasonably decent level we were previously hoping to gauge on this Chromebook. As for the performance, the MediaTek 8183 CPU, along with 4 GBs of RAM, dish out enough horsepower to tackle daily computing tasks on the fly uninterruptedly. You also got 32 GBs of relatively less storage, but expansion is always possible using the in-built microSD card reader port.
It’s fairly lightweight as well at 2.64 pounds, so definitely a rock-solid choice for frequent travelers and commuters. The battery life topping 10-11 hours won’t fail you for most of the day, so there’s that added benefit as well. At $220 off, we fare the Lenovo Flex 3 Chromebook well worth the price for anyone looking for a cheap yet firmly capable convertible Chromebook.
11. Lenovo Chromebook 3 14″ (was $289, now $129)
We have at our disposal here what’s perhaps one of the most attractive Black Friday Chromebook deals. Best Buy has taken $170 off the Lenovo Chromebook 3’s MSRP. This means that you can get this terrific budget-range device for a dollar short of $130. We’ve managed to secure one of these for ourselves, too, following the listing on the platform. It’s got an ARM-based MediaTek MT8183 processor with 4 GBs of RAM and 64 GBs of hard drive storage. Those are decent figures, especially for a device this cheap.
In addition, the display size is 14 inches, so this is a pretty sizable Chromebook. What takes the cake is the FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution that looks outright remarkable. But, again, when you factor in the mere $129 price of the Lenovo Chromebook 3, the quality seems too good to be true. Speaking of which, the build quality is also reasonably admirable. It does not boast a metallic chassis, though, and is made out of plastic throughout. However, this plastic does not feel cheap in any way and is a lot better than what the device’s price suggests.
To top it off, the battery runtime of the Lenovo Chromebook 3 is also quite tip-top. It lasts for somewhere around 12 hours, even if you’ve turned on the brightness fully and are streaming something with 1080p resolution. You cannot go wrong with this device at a price it’s coming for at the time of writing. So if you’ve locked in on this Chromebook, be sure to purchase it before it goes out of stock.
